I recently installed a 3:1 gearbox on my Sky Scooter which I purchased from Servo City. I am also using the 9X5 slow flyer prop. Does anyone know whether the folding prop recommended for the Hitec gearbox will fit the 3:1 ball bearing gearbox? Are the gearbox shafts the same diameter size?

As far as I know (not much) the folding prop will not fit the ServoCity 3:1 gearbox because that comes with the fittings for an APC prop. I have not yet installed my gearbox because they sent me the 1.7:1 instead (which I am keeping for fun!!!). The real challenge will be getting the brass gear off of the motor shaft. I really do not know what I am doing but I love the Scooter!

Want real fun with it? Get a endoplasma buggy motor. Cut the nose off about where it usualy breaks from gettign nosed in then make the motor hole bigger so it will fit in there. Get a MEC superbox ratio 6.0:1 and a 12X10 prop put it together and glue it in. You will need atlest a 30 amp esc. Next get a 10cell HR4/5FAUP pack and fit it into the fuse. You will need to cut the battery slot back some but not to much. Next take 1/16 bulsa and sheet the bottom of the wing. These mods will make that Sky Scooter go straight up outta sight if you want it to.
