RE: Kokam1200&chamaleon,help please!

The charger will cut off when the Voltage is at 3V per cell. This is how batteries are tested, they are charged up, then discharged to 3V per cell (LiPo) and the amount of capacity pulled out is...

RE: Kokam1200&chamaleon,help please!

At step 4 that i gave you, you can select different currents. If it says I=1.2A it means you are going to be charging. If you select D=2.0A it means you are going to be discharging at 2 amps.

RE: Success!....why? 1oz Li Ion 4 standard servo's

Use a proper charger, they are cheap and will save you of the impending fire that you WILL cause. I am not a doom and gloom type of person, but would hate to see another picture of a plane/car/house...

RE: Success!....why? 1oz Li Ion 4 standard servo's

Dont charge your li ion with a regular RX charger, You may get away with it for a while, but eventually something bad may happen.

RE: Simultaneous charging of TX and RX batteries with Triton

It can work 8P. You just need to have the same type of cells in your Tx as in your Rx. I have 1650 NiMhs in both, and could do it. The important part would be to have both packs at an equal cell...

RE: cycling question

If the charger is going down to 3.6V it sounds like you have a bad cell, It should drop to 4V NiMh (unless you are going down to .85V on NiCds) on a 4 cell Rx pack. If its a NiMh I would open up...

RE: Schulze technical question

You are right Cap, during the first 5 mins of NiMh charging the peak detect is turned off, most likely due to false peaks that can occur in these packs at lower voltages.

To answer the first...

RE: ISL 330d problem

They recommend that you use the 13Ga wire on the battery leads also, and have good connectors. I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you keep your runs short it works fine. Good connectors are a...

RE: Li Po - Just Say No!

Ok I'll bite. There is nothing more magical about LiPos than any other battery out there. The only true difference is that they are more sensitive to a couple things, Overcharge, Overdrainage,...

RE: chamaleon shutle 6330, and Lipos

RE: Losing voltage

The batteries will stop losing their voltage(stop self discharging) at the low voltage cutoff ( around 1V per cell). Then you put them in a cool place (I think it helps slow down the self discharge...

RE: Coldest temperature fir Li-Po batteries?

If you fly at 0C or 32F you will be sorely dissapointed with your LiPo batts 3 min flight. I tried at -20C and the battery was at voltage cutoff within a minute. Inside my house 20C i can get a...

RE: Best charger for LiPo 4s packs

I am asking because I made a rail to hook up my 3 etech 250mAh 2S1P packs into a 2S3P "virtual pack" So now when I charge, i set my Apache charger to 2cell 700mAh and it takes just over an hour to...

RE: Coldest temperature fir Li-Po batteries?

I've been flying at temps of 20 - 40F and the LiPo batteries lose about 75% of their capacity. Let them warm up and they will get the capacity back. So from my own experience I would say the closer...

RE: Best charger for LiPo 4s packs

Just wondering why you shouldn't charge packs in parralel? I can't see why not as long as you make sure your cells are balanced and the charger can put out the amperage?
