The Alpha is an excellent trainer. The simulator is a little rough. It will give you some basic thumb practice, but the G3 is much better.

How do I cycle the battery? Can I just leave the power on until it drains down and then recharge with the wall charger, and do this 2 or 3 times?

The Arrow has the TPS.
I have the TPS and the EVO .46 NT.
The 46 NT is more powerful. I could tell as soon as I started it that it had more spirit than the TPS.
Both are great engines.

I agree with you that very few people will fly out a fully charged TX in one day.

I talked to a guy at the field yesterday and he told me that you can field charge a TX battery with the TX charge leads through the plug in on the TX.

He said to just take the battery cover off...

Fred, I looked at the TX battery connectors for all of my radios and none of them would plug into the RX leads. They are a totally different style of connector.

You are right half of the charge...

I read through the instructions and it is still unclear to me exactly...
