Nope, you would need a gear box. For Another $20 you could get an AXI outrunner, 2808/24. Awesome power for this plane.

The flatout on a buddy box would be fine, they can be very docile with the throws reduced. If the plance is built light they float, they can fly nice and slow for them to learn.

Go with AXI 2808/24 with a 10 x 4.7 E. Performance is awesome, motor is rated up to 52oz. They have stick mounts for these now, switching would be easy. No more gears!!
