My Feedback: (34)
I am new to the electrics and I just picked up a Tensor 4D and wanted to know which motor and esc to buy for this aircraft. Also which would be the battery for it?? I was looking at the AXI motors but there are soo many to choose from I dont know!!! And does someone have a good website that talks about batteries, charging them, ESC (what does 10amp, 20 AMP escs mean?? Whats the difference.)

The Tensor is not the best plane but if you really want it then everything you need is on the link below. And instead of getting a 10 amp ESC get the 20 AMP ESC.

The Tensor rocks, Hope your good with the left stick though, you will need it to turn this ship. Im on my second one, first one was CA'd in 30 places from crashing and it still flew great. Park 370 1360KV, for the motor 18-25 amp speed controler, check out this site for the batterys http://www.himodel.net/rc_catalog/electric.php, I use the 2 cell 1100 Mah, 8c, I run the tensor for 10 minutes of 3D with it and its only $18

They fly great when they are set up right. hear was my set up for this past year indoor...
Axi 2204/54
Jeti 8 amp
3 cell kokam 340
M5 receiver
it came in at 6.9 oz RTF
Outdoors I run a kokam 640 3 cell pack its time for a new one though this one survived the indoor season and is glued in too many places

there great fun planes, mine lasted about 15 flights[:'(] still, ive got depron to draw around the surviving bits!!!
my motor was the Extreme Flight 30T/980. awesome power, 15 mins on 880 cells too. I now run all EF motors as they are so powerfull and efficient[8D]

What happend to your Tensor only 15 flights !! ?
O yea flight times on a 3 cell 340 was 8- 10 min full out 3d flying
and on a 640 its between 15 and 20 depending on your flying style the tensor flys great under 7 oz

well, at about flight 10 i did major damage doing low, slow high alpha KE. Got a bit low and it dragged under the grass. It was going slow enough that i saw the wings almost fold back to the fuz and it basically rip itself apart. next was that i glued it together, and i was doing some rolling harrier passes, and i flew very slow into a hovering !real! depron model, just exploded into 100s of bits, i got it all up, so when i get some oderless KE im going to peice it together, glue it up and ill have a white tensor. it flies so well i couldnt just chuck it after 15 flights.

lol I know how that is on my first flight I was doing some high alpha KE and sanded down the wing tips on the left side quite a bit

So, how does it fly outdoors on just 2 cells? I really can't believe that there could be such a big difference between indoor and outdoor performance. Do I really need a 3 cell for outdoor??

With the set up I am using there is a big difference between two and three cells even indoors 2 cells is slow aerobatics nothing fast it has power to hover and pull out pretty good but three cells really gives you that punch you want for really good 3D I even find myself using 3 cells indoors allot but my dad still likes 2 cells on his tensor with the same set up. Another reason I use three cells outdoors is the extra weight my tensor has such a light wing loading that it had to be dead dead calm before I got the thee cell packs (kokam 340's and kokam 640's for more wind and longer flight times)

With my AXI 2204/54 I'm running a 9x4.7 GWS prop and drawing 9.5 amps at full throttle I realize this is over the recommended 6.5 amps by allot but I hardly use full throttle during the flight and it has not hurt any of the three motors my dad and I been running like this.
