I haven't noticed any need for aileron correction but I really haven't been focusing on flying any kind of precision with it. It may, but its not noticeable. I require quite a bit of right rudder on...

Good to hear!

I have yet to check how the vertical downlines are. If the airframe itself has a tendency to pull to the canopy in that situation, a throttle - elevator mix would probably work...

Well, I have a broken aileron hinge I noticed today. It's not one of the outside ones - nearest to the inside hinge. Any ideas on fixing this without cutting all of the hinges out?

The bolt pattern is the same, made a template and drilled out the CF gear - fit perfectly. I used bigger washers though so more pressure on a larger portion of the gear. My landings are usually...

Got my graphtec CF gear installed tonight. Looks great! Thanks Sturtz!! It's actually shorter than the stock aluminum gear by about 1/4" but doesn't many any difference - plenty of prop clearance...

If it ever does delaminate, use epoxy - not CA. That is what is recommended for repairs on CF gear.
I'll give it a try, $24.00 isn't that bad in my opinion.

I odered the funtana gear from Troybuilt Models, they carry the Graphtec gear and have been great everytime I've dealt with them.

No shim, just use washers on the engine mount to set the offset. Usually 1 washer = 1 degree for the most part.

What engine are you using and how is it mounted - inverted or 90 degree angle?

Yep, exactly how I did mine. It worked fine and its a good tight fit. Time will tell but I'm happy with it.

Did you put your mix on a switch or always on? I can see me coming in to land and applying rudder and the thing ballooning on me :)
