I ended up getting a Hubsan X4, and then a Blade 350 QX2. I feel like this was an EXCELLENTprogression for a beginner....

Might do a kit next year - something like an Armattan. Not an Armattan...

Thanks. The 170D is the expensive FPV one though, right? Isn't the X4 the same thing, sans FPV? I was looking at the "new" one with LED's and a 2mp camera.

I think maybe I will go with a micro for starters - the Blade Nano I guess. To learn to fly first over the winter, indoors some.. Then maybe something bigger in the spring..
