Side Mounted

Many have suggested that the cowl is large, but doesn't move air properly on a side-mounted glow. Perhaps some ducting baffles to direct air over and behind the head of the motor is in order.

I'd...

dennis - I never ran the Biela 24", but the 26" was a hell-acious load on the ZDZ 80. I would expect the 24" to equally load the 60. If you can get a Bambula, I'd do that...after running both the...

bodyman - you are SO under-loading that motor.... when I had my ZDZ 60, it REALLY came to life with a 24 x 10....breaking it in on the 22 should only be like one more tank ;)

THEN - get...

Lower pitch = lower speed, higher pitch = higher speed....On my Patty, going to the 24 x 8 really improved the slowing down...a LOT...big differences compared to the 22 x 10.

Also "furniture pads" at the Local U-Haul, I think...

I thought that was a Zinger; could spot the square tips. Those have a LOT of load on a motor, and their pitch accuracy - well, shall we say "tentative"?-

Break in that motor, and get a Menz 22 x...

monkeyhead - GP's recommended "starting" CG is 5 3/4" aft of the leading edge at the fuse, making it the FRONT of the wing tube. You have an extremely-aft CG, and I would not fly it that far back.
