Warranty

A warranty can become important if the plane develops structural problems during the warranty period. GP is going to want you to send them the plane so they can see if there is a structural or...

Stripping Plane

Macbeth - Saw your post about stripping a future Patty in order to do your own scheme. Just wanted to give you a heads-up to let you know that doing so will immedialtey void the warranty. I was...

BME 50 vs. DA 50

Slingshot - I don't have either so I can't give you any empirical data, and I'm by no means an authority on gas engines, but I have been doing quite a bit of research in anticipation of buying one or...

Replacement Cowl

FYI - You can get a Wagstaff cowl for only $20.49 from Tower. Wheel pants are the same price. I thought I was going to be told the cowl was incorrectly listed on the web page but that's what I was...

Moki 2.10

Slingshot - I used the Moki 2.10. I have the elevator servos in the tail and one rudder servo, which is also in the tail. All my servos are old Airtronics units mated to the supplied control horns....

DMUCOP -

I have been having some trouble getting my Moki 2.10 really dialed in so my flying has been somewhat limited, but I can give you at least some basic flight info. Mine is balanced...

Crash Test

I recently had the "opportunity" to find out how well the front-end is built. My throttle servo decided to quit working while at idle. I wasn't quite close enough to get back to the strip and it...

Tail Wheel Not Centering

I decided to use two springs on the tail wheel instead of the way shown in the manual. Problem is it doesn't center after deflecting the rudder one way or the other. The wheel assembly doesn't...

Wing Tube Fit

Another way to open the wing tubes is to use a 3/8" dowel, assuming you have a 3/8" chuck in your drill, and wrap sandpaper and foam around one end. Use enough foam so that it's snug in the tube. ...

Securing Landing Gear Cover

I've read a few posts about problems with keeping the landing gear cover in place. I used a Dremel and made 5 holes, a little bigger than the washers, all the way through the block (cover). I...

Mounting Stab

What I did when mounting my stab was to put 1 hour epoxy on the fuselage surfaces that contact the stab, but also scoop it on to the fuse sides on the top side of the stab. Just flip the plane...

Aileron Linkage

I have a question for those who have already hooked up the ailerons. If you use a clevis on the servo arm there is practically no up and down rotation, as it should be, which means the clevis on the...

3-Blade Prop

Craig,

Using the 3-blade prop, did you notice much difference in the time it took the motor to spool up/down? It's surprising that the plane required a bit of tail weight with the rudder servos...

Balance?

Craig - Did you have to add much weight to the nose to get it balanced with the O.S.? Did you use a pull-pull on the rudder? Thanks for the info!
