One thing that does help the landing (and flying) is to move the CG back about 3/4" to 1". I ended up putting a 5 cell 2400 MaH battery AND 4 ounces of lead in the tail to get it to fly right.

The 55 AX has the same mounting dimensions as the 46 AX but considerably more power.

Depends - do you like Ford or Chevy? Futaba or JR?
I fly JR on 72 but my primary is a Spectrum 7.
Either one will work, as long as you can use a "Y" harness on the flaps and ailerons on that...

Don't know for sure. Kind'a depends on the engine, but I think it might be close. Mach racer has a pretty thick wing.
I'm going to put an OS 55 AX on mine when the ARF comes in![8D]

Flies great inverted, even with flaps deployed! Very aerobatic for a trainer!?!
I hope they come out with the ARF version soon!

It's only a matter of WHEN will the ARF version (minus engine and radio) will be available. I hope it's soon. I love the P-51 ARF and I will have to get one of these to go with it!
