Does anyone know if I left enough/to much room for the clutch to wear down? I just got done with the first one and was about to start the second and was hopeing for a reply before I get my pieces...

I got sick of the search for loose carbon fiber so I went out and bought a cut off wheel that was just over 1mm thick. I was wondering if anyone had any clue what the rpm's of the 3rd gear clutch is...

I'm finally getting to my truck that's been sitting for weeks on the dryer:D. Have a little over 2 hours untill I can cut off extra, sand and cover the clutch with teflon. I'm putting the teflon on...

I'm going to cut up more stuff to see what wieghts I can get to stuff in the shoes.

I'm lucky that teflon stuff I got is the same, all I saw was .040 x 24" x 8" for under $8 so I jumped on it:D

I only have 2 4mm allen keys, a long and a short, so I'm waiting till I strip one out and I'll use that next time if I need to. I also think it's best to try as many different ways to leave options...

sparky 25, what did you use to hold the teflon on? Looks like epoxy.

I've hit temps just below 300 in a vary large stone parking lot playing with every thing I could and the truck only hit 3rd...

Heres what I've so far...

I used a C clamp that was WAY to big, worked great, didn't move a inch:D.
I used 5 sizes of drill bits, working my way up to where I could just slide the slug...

sparky 25, How did you hold the clutch shoe down when you drilled it? I'm about to drill but wanted to know what you used before I start. I was thinking just a plastic clamp that uses a spring...

Will JB Weld hold up as good as epoxy? It did hold a alternator mount on for 2 weeks untill my friend's brother sold his truck. But that was metal to metal, I'm not...

I think he came in from the side to keep more clutch on the bell.
