I don’t see how replacing the plastic shock caps with aluminum would be all that much better? The shock itself is plastic and would still have a tendency to pop the aluminum caps wouldn’t it? ...

You just need to cut a hole in the windsheild and another in the window on the fuel tank side no more removing the body ;)
