Ok, bite my head off because Isaid manufacturer instead of "dealer", "store"or "website"...

What I meant was that at the LHS you could show your AMA card, or on websites that supported it you...

It occurs to me that there's a great way to get people that would otherwise just be park flyers interested in the AMA....I'll admit before I even say it, that it would be difficult to pull off...

You're mistaking the common parlance "geared towards"(or geared for)which speaks to the availability and accessibilty of something, with the concept of someone having a desire to do or participate in...

Myself, I don't try to indulge in bashing of any particular age group. The entire club I fly with, save for myself and the son of one of the other members, is over 60 - and I enjoy every single day...

I don't discount the skills in full scale flight your father has. Ihave the utmost respect for anyone that can fly a full scale plane, infinitely moreso when they're being shot at. Those skills...

I thought I'd chime in as a new R/C pilot and new AMA member, that's part of the "Nintendo babies" generation (I'm turning 33 this year)...

The reasons that the younger generations aren't joining...
