i don't believe the way i fly is a sport , toss the plane into the air, stand and control said plane, land plane on the way back to the car .

now if the walking a couple hundred yards is the sport...

Most clubs are for private interests. Most of them are not educational, nor are they scientific. There are quite a few other restrictions that most clubs do not fall under.
