I've been told that he retired......All I used for years were his rods, and as far as I'm concerned he had the only aluminum rods that were any good for racing. Unfortunately, most of the new racing engines are coming out with forged steel rods...not so good when the prop hits something.....I'd rather break an aluminum rod from impact, than ruin a crankshaft. I don't know if anyone makes a good alum. rod at present.

I appreciate the feedback, but I hAVE 4 .67'S with RPM Rods in them, and 3 .45's set up the same way. I haven't run any of my boats for a couple of years anyway. The retired wealthy here in Florida have complained so much about loud boom boxes, etc.....even the model airplanes equipped with real quiet mufflers are getting complaints. All of the counties around here have passed noise ordinances, and have the cops riding around ticketing people for loud radios in their cars. Some of the model boat guys have had cops threaten to take them off to jail! I can't help wonder where their priorities are? In the 1960's I had friends with the early (small) 305 Honda motorcycles who were constantly pulled over and harassed for taking the baffles out of their mufflers! It's common to see hordes of cars travelling at 15-20 MPH over the speed limit forget the use of turn signals.....an atrocious fatality rate on us 95, and Harleys that will deafen a person running around at all hours of the day, but threatening model boaters at ponds out in the middle of nowhere, and forcing the model airplane guys farther and farther into the boondocks is ok........Unfortunately I will probably sell off most of the stuff I have now, so I sure won't be needing any more conrods.......maybe someone else will pick up on your message...Thanks............ K&BMAN
