From: Vero Beach, FL,
I have acquired a SimJet Turbine. It has never been used and i have no idea which model it is. I am figuring it is either the 2300 or 3000AES. I would like to get as much information about it to decide if I want to use it or go in another direction. I sure could use some help. :-)
It's serial number is 03162.
Thanks friends!

Rocketman,
Your Simjet is a 2001 unit. Identifying if it is a 1700, 2300 or 3000 can be done via the software in the ECU. The trubine would have had the older 2002-D2 Alum. cased ECU and there would be a sticker on it that stated it's model type and or software load. The software designation for a 2300 would look something like "k23hl-2a" The "23" designates a 2300, and so a "k30hl-2a" would designate a 3000 etc.
A 1700 was set to run @ approx. 120,000, the 2300 @ 122,000 and the 3,000 @ 125,000 Max rpms .
The 1700 had a factory rating of 17#, 2300 @ 25# and the 3000 @ 30#.
Simjet Denmark has stoped production of engines for modeling use in 2011. Currently no new service parts are available for servicng any Simjet except for parts that may be acquired thru used engne purchases.
I would be interetsed in acquiring your unit if you have a desire to sell it.

Hello Kerry.
Shipped you out the motor for your inspection. You received it on the 11th of April. It has been 5 days and I have not heard from you since. Have called you and have sent you e-mails. Could you please contact me, letting me know what you have decided.
Patiently waiting to hear back from you.

Hello Charles,
The engine arrived on the 11th and was available when I arrived at 4:30pm, I was not available on the 12th and I no longer work on turbines on weekends.
Late Sunday evening I had a chance to look it over and will downlaod the balance of the info from the ECU this evening when I arrive in the shop after which I will give you call and share my findings.
