Default ECU Failsafe delay?

Does the SimJet ECU have a failsafe delay as allowed by AMA? Last I checked the delay was zero seconds. Does this mean the turbine will shut down immediately with a glitch (failsafe count)?

Default RE: ECU Failsafe delay?

Hi Dave

All SimJet turbines, except for the 2200 Value turbine, are now being shipped with the FADEC ECU by Gaspar Espiel. This ECU features a fixed two second shutdown delay upon detection of a failsafe condition. The SimJet FADEC 2002 ECU has a 0.8 sec shutdown delay upon detecting a failsafe condition. There are currently no plans to modify the software for the SimJet FADEC 2002 ecus as they are compliant with the current AMA regulations and are being phased out.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Sincerely,
Ed

Edit: Clarification of actual shut down delay time on SimJet ECU
