Default kero start and ecu battery

Kerry , I just mailed you my engine for tailcone repair. You should have it this week. My questions are,can I use a 2-cell lipo on the ECU and according to ECU manual, the ECU has the ability to use kero-start. You may remember, I have an older engine originally from Digitech. I think that it probably does not have the internals for kero-start, but I thought Iwould ask. Anyway,my engine runs great WHEN you finally can get it to start. It pops right off on propane and then takes forever to spool up to idle, and only by continually giving little squirts of propane does it finally fire off.(after 1-2 starts it works quicker)Maybe,I need more voltage as I run a 6-cell NiMH ECU pack. Also, does the heat hurt the start-up as we fly in heat indexes of over 100 degrees here in TX. Just curious as how to speed my start-up. Thanks for all your help and support! JOHN GRIGSBY DALLAS-TX

Default RE: kero start and ecu battery

Hi John,

We will get into your engine when it arrives and advise what we discover.

As for Keor Stat, currently SIMJET has no support for that feature at this time. You would need to speak with Sandor (Digitech) concerning that aspect of operation and the components need to convert.

Best Regards,
