I'm purchasing an Ultra Stick 40 and I was wondering if I can set up the flaps to couple with the ailerons using a 6XAS transmitter?

Hi glowplug,
Unfortunately, no, the 6XAS does not have the mixing capabilities for an Ultra Stick 40, you would need to go to an 8 or 9 channel radio to get the mixing that is required for this.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Actually, you can connect the flaps in the center to channel 5 gear switch. Although you will have no proportional flap control, you can then use the outer ailerons as spoilerons or flaperons.
You CAN do crow with the 6X, if you don't have retracts.
