To all those with pilots licences or soon to be pilot's
I just got the new popular mechanics magazine and there was an article about being able to fly with your driver's licenece. That just means if your safe enough to drive then you can become a pilot, but you still have to get you pilot's licence. It also showed a variety of small sport planes for the private pilot. The one that caught my eye was the TITAN P-51 MUSTANG. It is a recreation of the famous WWII fighter. It is scaled down a bit and has a fixed landing gear but if i had the dough i'd cough it over! I'm sure there must be a way to make the fixed gear into a retractable. But i'd sure love to test one out!

IMO the drivers license pilot sounds like a terrible idea, There are enough bad pilots already I see up there, we dont need more! I think the current system is not too bad, helps to weed out the ones that could be problems. Takes some commitment and money to get into the air right now.
Oh, and since its not RC, Ill be closing this, sorry.
