From: East Coast,
I just joined this here bored. My boy helped me get my computer online, and boy do I like it. It seems as there is a gud deal of knowledge that people have to share.
I got a topic I would like to see some opinions on.
I was at a picnic and funfly in Alabama 2 years ago and there were some monster airplanes down there doing things that I not only thought were dangeros but rude and inconsidirite as well.
I had just fired up my trust 1/4 scale cub with the help of my buddy Roy (Those whacker motors reqire help) and taxied out onto the runway. I yelled takeoff and got airborne. it wasn't long till a few fellowes had them monster planes out acting like helicopturs right over the runway. I got so nervous I landed and had to take a nitro pill to calm down.
I think we need rules againts this kind of shinangans.
What do you fellers think?

Since you are new here, I will reference you to the search engine.
Do a search on "Hovering" or "Hovering over runway" and see what turns up...this can'o worms has been soundly beaten into the ground.

This is a major re-hash of a topic that is gone over and over and over and over and over and over. If your looking for another debate on this subject I'm not sure you'll get one but I could be wrong.

different strokes for different folks, you like to fly in circles with your cub, i like hovering over the runway.
why couldnt you wait until the '3d slot' was over, 3d flyers are not inconsiderate, they just do what they do.

i dont want to be seen as rude here taxman but its a personal preference of how someone like to fly. i personally fly 3D aircraft with admitadly with small motors and it really is qite a skill to do 3D flying, its not rude at all. Some people may think if a big 1/4 scale piper cub trundeling down the strip a few meters away is off putting, i would especially wen i wantt to fly low.
Its not dangerous either, somtimes things result in a crash, yes, but this happens to piper cubs aswell. i know wen a pilot puts a 40% plane into a low leval blender it looks as though its going to crash its most likley not going to happen. this is because to do a blender with a $5000 at a hight would be nervracking, insted it takes allot of practise and it not very offen it will go wrong as the practise is emence.
I hope you read this and and see a 3D pilots point of view
Thank you
Ian

Taxman,
Didn't I see another thread where you posted about passing gas in an upwind pilot station causing a fellow to loose a plane due to distraction.
You want to talk rude and INCONSIDERATE!!!
Also, there is a spell check feature on this board.

This guy talks just like Cleetus. I hope its not.
It is not great to hover right over the runway when others are flying, but if the 3D pilots let people know they are going to do 3D maneuvers, I know I enjoy watching it as much as anyone.
No different than me bringing out my heli. The only ones that complain about that is the ones that tried helicopters and couldn't do it. Those who can do, and those who can't, complain!

I think you might consider taking up fishing, perhaps the kind where you drag a lure behind the boat. You seem to have a knack for it!

oh brother
taxman232ex is on a fishing expedition here...
Read the last two pages of the recent "shoot down" thread. All will be clear, except the air.

According to all you guys we should have patience and understanding to do everything necessary to insure that the individual in question understands the subject completely and without question.
There's no better time to start than the present.
What better way to treat ignorance!
The only thing it takes is time and effort.

Taxman likes to stir the crap. And when prompted to use the spell check feature, he replied that he didn't like it. Guess it really sucks when it gives you three options on how to spell a word. Could drive a feller insane trying to pick the right one huh....

LOL...
I have some little tips for anyone who is trying to come across as dumber than they truly are...
1) Repeatedly making a dog's breakfast out of the easy little words, and then spelling many of the longer words perfectly, sort of gives the game away.
2) Don't concentrate so hard on messing up the spelling, that you sometimes forget to corrupt the sentence structure as well.
3) Study the writings of B1FF.

I particularly like the way he misspelled "boat" as "bot", yet knows about ionized gasses.
There is at least one good thing to come of his fumbling stupidity (and I'm not talking about his spelling)...we have shifted the focus from yet another rant about 3D flying to the joys of pulling the mask of a not-very-believable troll!!
