Well, i'm sorry to say that for the first time in this hobby, I had a bad experience with a purchase I made.
I bought CF Landing Gear for my Sukhio. After installing it I realized that the CF gear was 1" shorter than the stock gear. This is unacceptable because I barely have enough prop clearance with the stock gear.
I called TNT Landing gear which is where I purchased it from. I explained that the gear was of the wrong dimensions. He said "Well that's how I get them. I can't do anything."
"If you would like, I can sell you a pair of custom made aluminum gear". [>:]
After refusing to buy ANOTHER set of gear he gave me the number to graphtec and said that maybe they will help me. [:@]
To me, that is rediculous. I bought the gear from him (10.00 more) not from graphtech. I cant believe this guy blew me off like that. I didn't raise a big stink because I know how it goes. We argue, he finally says "send them in" then they sit for weeks until he feels like persuing it. I don't want to go thu that.
Hopefully graphtech will be more helpful.
I am sorry but I can no longer spend any more of my money at TNT. I have 2 more planes getting ready for CF gear.
OK Sorry for venting. Has anybody had any dealings directly with graphtech? What can I expect when I talk to them? Thanks

I thought I would post a follow up. I got ahold of graphtech and I must say. These guys have their act together. Very polite and easy to deal with. They said "sent them back and we will cut you a new pair to whatever length you want. You will have it next week."
I must admit that I made a mistake. I should have went to graphtech with my original purchase. Not only is their service better than TNT but they are 10.00 cheaper.
I will repost and let you know how long it takes to get them back.

This thread is similar to one a year or so ago. Back then there was a problem about the Graphtech carbon fiber landing gear delaminating and TnT blew off the warrantee and did the same thing, i.e., told them to talk to GraphTech.
You'll need to know that if you want to invest in a GraphTech carbon fiber accessory go directly to them. You'll save money and they do not hesitate standing by their product.
TnT should at least publish their postion in their adds -- of course if they did that it may diminish their sales.
ADDENDUM:
Actually, TnT does just the opposite. This is their published return policy:
TnT Landing Gear Products reserves the right to replace any fiberglass cowls or wheel pants with fiberglass cowls or wheel pants of equal or greater quality.
Unconditional Guarantee
Our number one concern is your complete satisfaction. Should any standard, non custom, item fail to meet your expectations, simply return it within 30 days in a new and unused condition and we will gladly exchange it or refund your merchandise price (shipping charges are not included in this offer). Product must be used for it's intended purpose or guarantee is void.

Thats funny, Ive had nothing but great experiences with TNT landing gear....
Perhaps the fact that the gear was installed made a difference. Did you drill holes in the gear???? If so how can you expect a dealer to take back a set of gear that has been drilled????

3dpilot. They didn't bother to ask if it was drilled or not.

I had a great experience with them too. Right up to the point of needing service. These people didn't even offer up the information to contact graphtech until after I declined to buy New Aluminum gear from them. They were more concerned with selling me new gear to replace my new gear.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with TnT. I have been using their products and service for several years now, including having them make aluminum gear for a plane designed with wire gear. I have always had complete satisfaction with their products, and a little bit of fun with the staff when ordering.
I had one ordering snafu, but that was due to back ordered parts. They didn't want to ship until the order was complete. Understandable. One phone call and the problem was resolved.

Hey Crash90
I had kind of the same problem with Graphtech landing gear delaminating but I got my gear from TBM and they would not do a thing for me.
I feel that if some one is going to sell and make a profit off of a product, then they should be responsible for said product period!
Thanks for the heads up!
