Tire choice depends greatly on what surface you are running on and what you really want to get out of your tires. That meaning, if you want a long lasting tire or the best traction.

With that in mind, for grass step pin type tires usually work the best and they are also very good for any soft surface. If you run them on very hard packed dirt or pavement you will find that they tend to wear out pretty quickly. Something more intermediate would then be better for a little longer life. A Pro-Line Bowtie or Snake Eye, or a Losi IFMAR Stud or Reptile would be good choices. These tires would still give great traction in grass but will work better on anything from hard to loose dirt. Also to maximize life of any tire, choosing the harder of the compounds availible is a wise choice. Losi silver or Pro-Line M2 or R3 are the firmer compounds offered.

The r3's are softer then the m2's and m3's but last longer.. its a new compound,, heres alittle info from there site

"M3 is the much softer compound of the two and is used when more traction is desired. The M2 will give you better tread life but less traction. The newer R3 material is just as soft as the M3 but will give you an increased tread life".

didn't dig the hawgs, huh? as far as "all condition" you're not gonna find much better. my suggestion is to spend the extra on two (or three or four) sets. it's not much hassle to pop off four tire lugs, and the performance you get from having the right tire is awesome. small pins are unmatched in their given race conditions and the right big, fat tires will mow grass like a deere.
speaking of, anyone else ever get the idea to add a second nitro motor and a prop and cut the grass at 40mph from the porch!?!

I agree with both team A and GT mike. the geolanders are a bit better, but the dirt hawgs are a bit cheaper.

get whichever tread pattern you like best
