Hey im wondering if i buy a heatsink with a fan on it, can i use a Y-Split lead cable to connect it to my battery? since i only have 1 plug, which connects my esc with the reciever.

BTW, whats the difference between a Y lead with a JR connector, and a Y lead with a futaba connector? Thx in advance.

You can plug the plug on the fan right into the battery slot on your receiver if your esc has bec. If you are running a receiver pack you can connect th receiver, receiver pack, and fan with a y harness. I think what you have pictured is a reversing y harness though, do you have a link?

the problem is that i only have 1 battery slot, which is being used. Where can i get a Y harness that you are talking about? Im not sure of a Tamiya TEU-101BK has a bec and about links,

I have two of these fan/heatsinks. The first one I soldered straight onto the battery clip on the ESC. The second one I was a bit more lazy and just jammed the down the end of the battery clip into the connectors. Zip tied and sorted. This way they work as soon as you plug the battery in; so it cools the motor before you begin racing. Sorted!
