I have about 50 flights on the module in my 10X. Trouble free and has been working great. Next is in a jet, and we'll see how that goes. It seems to be a very reliable system. I also tried the DX-7 but didn't like the problems with the long reboot after a voltage drop out. Never happened to me, but I chickened out. Bob

I am using one them in my Avonds F15 & Rookie 2. No problems at all. I feel the controls are much smoother with 2.4Ghz.

I used one when they first were released for sale on the website. I had issues of mine locking out in the same general area on two different aircraft (one prop, one jet). After I removed the system and posted my findings/experience here in the jet forum, it was discovered that my module antenna orientation may have been the culprit; although the information was not published any of the manuals up to that date. Hopefully they have included this CRITICAL information the later revisions. Needless to say, I lost confidence in the system and got rid of it so I did no further testing to prove or disprove his theory. That was too bad, I was really excited about the system and wanted it to work FOR ME. I know people are having success with it, but for me; the margin for success was too narrow.
If Futaba NEVER comes out with their system, I may try ExtremeLink again, hopefully all the issues will be worked out by that time.
My ACTUAL experience.

Hi Nick. Here are the pictures of my install. Just make sure that there is no chance of any loose wires coming within 2 inches of the aerial.
First photo is F15.
Edit:- I have also installed the Rxs in my Jet Legend Hawk & Aviation design Scorpion, but have not flown them yet with these Rxs.

George,
I had very similar experiences with XPS. Worked perfect until it didn't. Too risky for my jets right now. Maybe later. The product looks good and feels solid.

There are 3 planes operating on Xtreme link here.
2 X Jet Legend F-22s. 1 X Skymaster 1/8 F-16 no issues.
F-22 Artes Super Eagle : 12 flights~
F-22 2 X Artes Superbees : 8 flights~
F-16 J600 PST : 3 flights~
Receivers are mounted on platforms raised above the main radio tray close to the cockpit area.
Both radios 9303, and XPS module with the screw in antenna.

George, can you expand on your issues with the XPS system? Please give more details on your antenna orientation problem. Thanks!

We put two successfull flights on my PST Panther at Kentucky jets this last weekend.............................ROCK SOLID................., after swapping RX's.
Seems MIne lost it's bind overnight after a fresh charge on the batteries??????????????? Thanks to Alaska Bob (He swapped mine for his personal RX) we were able to get in the air after another range check (By the book) with the Wren SS running. It was running for about 1/2 hour before lift off.

I have Futaba 9C, and I have used Xtreme Power systems's Module and receiver for the first time on my brand new 72" Giles 202, today Sep 29, 2007.
I believed I was installed both with how manual indicated. At field, I did range test and it was good on the ground more than 70 meters.
But, when my plane was took off, it began to go crazy, and none of my channel worked, and I ran to near to my plane and fortunatetly land it with one piece. Regardless of all good feed back from forum discussion, my first trial was worst one I ever had, eventhogh my plane was saved.
Is anyone can help me with this occation or should I purchase new Futaba 2.4 GHz , which is really working good on my friend's airplane?
Any response will be appreciated.

Is XPS even still in business?? I haven't heard much about them since Spektrum came out with all their modules...

Better open your eyes. They are alive and well and work for the vast majority who try the system despite what some 2 post wonders named RC Drunk would write, but hey we're all entitled to our opinions.
