Hey Shaun
I received the "BIG" box today! After opening it I am still speechless!! I don't know what I am most impressed with! The actual aircraft or how they package something this size!! This thing could have been through a tornado and survived un scratched. Everthing is very impressive except for the Cockpit and you warned me about that. I have never seen a more detailed molded fuselage accompanied with the most detailed paint job I have ever seen on an ARF!! Looks like I will be ordering the Engine sooner rather than later.
To the forum: I orderes the F-15 exactly one week ago today with every acc. they have available and EVERYTHING arrived in great condition from CA to TX in 7 days. That's great service from both Shaun and Yellow Freight Co.

when i opened mine i said the same thing, it is packaged to withstand a class 5 twister
, should have kept it instead of paying 4 grand for my safe room.
I'm just waiting on the 12 channel 2.4 gig radio to finish, i installed a belly tank yesterday, did you get the camo or the thunder birds, both here in OK and look really nice and detailed.

Absolutely gorgeous...I got to see two of them last weekend at Princeton Jets.....
There is some video of one flying towards the end of this video that some first time spectator took of the event...

Pattrat,
I took some pics for you. You can sort of see what I'm talking about as far as placement goes. I siliconed the UP2 to the top of the UP4 to save space. As you can see--between the brakes, speed-brake, canopy and gear valves--there is a LOT of spaghetti in there. You can see in the pics the tray for the batteries (the smoke pump battery is on the bottom and the ECU battery is on top opposite the receiver. I used two plywood blocks (like the ones that come in the kit) to stand off the cylinder. You won't have to because I ordered the wrong size cylinder. The canopy locking cylinders are screwed onto little wood blocks which are GOOPed onto the insides of the aft canopy area. I put a little dab of GOOP on the cylinder to hold it in place. If I should want to take it out, I'd just run an xacto blade across the little bead. Hope these photos help.

Thanks for the photo's. Quick question on the verticial Fins. There are on the forward mounting surface and the forward fuse receiving surface holes that line up that had pins been installed would have greatly stabalizid the the fin mounting. There was no pins in the kit nor were there any pins in either surface. Was this a manufacturing mistake? It appears to me that the pins would be a "MUST" for stability!! Were there pins installed in your aircraft? I am going to install carbon fiber pins unless you say different.

Hi,
No, those are meant for screws. There's a hole in the fin base with a plywood plate under it. There's a plywood hardpoint in the fin base. There should be some titanium socket-head screws in the airplane somewhere. If not, a #4 socket-head sheet-metal screw (1/2") is best. That way, the fin is nice and tight against the base. If you look through the kit instruction book, you'll see this set of steps and you'll know what I'm talking about.
