Thats awesome. I love seeing the hot exhaust trail. Is that the 54III that you just bought?

I have seen a lot of jet pics (and taken enough of my own) but I havent seen that clear of an exhaust trail before.

The exhaust plume is tough to photograph...need the right conditions, a good camera, good lighting and a little bit of luck. John VH has some of the best shots I have seen, and yours is right up there!
Good shot!!

Good shot!!
I'd be interested in seeing other pics of model jets with this effect.

Beautiful picture!
Is it just me or does it look like the turbine is at a ridiculous down angle?

Thats the way the AV8R was designed. No different really that planes like the Kingcat and REaction 54 that have their underslung turbines angled down. Since the AV8R has the turbine on top the exhaust is angled up to prevent pitch changes during changes in throttle. Looks weird but it works, as once the plane is trimmed for level flihgt it stays that way at all settings of throttle.

Hi Guys ,
Here's my SM F15 on finals with the right main not extended.
Can see a little bit of the hot exhaust plume.
Needless to say the landing was quite exciting , I expected the right gear to pop out on landing but didnt.
Got away with a scraped wingtip and a scraped stab

Here is my Euro at the 2006 Liberty Bell Jet Rally. Photo by fellow club member Sam Harbold. He shoots several thousand pictures at each event to get about 100 really great shots like this one.
