Default Traplet publications should be spelled with a 'C'...

First of all, I'd like to say that I really like Radio Control Jet International magazine - I'm a subscriber. But the publisher, Traplet publications, has a serious customer service problem. In August I ordered two back issues of RCJI from 2005 in order to read the Wren MW-54 turbine test reports. Traplet charged my credit card, and a month later I received a packet from Traplet. It contained an invoice which correctly listed my order, but instead of containing my two back issues from 2005 the packet just contained a copy of the current issue (which I already had since I'm a subscriber...). [&o]

I talked to the USA office of Traplet and notified them of the mistake. Another month has gone by, and I just received another packet from Traplet - containing the latest two issues, rather than my two back issues from 2005. [:@]

I'm getting quite a collection of duplicate issues - maybe I can trade them to Traplet for the back issues I want...

That's pretty sad. Unfortunately I recently cleared out my "backlog" of old mags, so I don't think I still have the ones you need. I'll take a look though, just in case.

You may want to list the issue numbers / dates you need, in case anyone else can help.

I'm sure there is a good reason-I'll have a word with the big boss and see what is happening.

I have forwarded my customer ID, etc., to Traplet. I also have just received a call from the USA office of Traplet, saying that they are sending out my order immediately.

I had previously contacted the USA office several times over this, and I'm sure the young lady there was doing her best to resolve this issue from our side of the pond. I will return the duplicate issues to Traplet as soon as I receive the back issues.

Again, I'd like to say that I enjoy reading RCJI magazine, and also that it's amazing how customer issues can get resolved by a simple post on a forum... [sm=wink_smile.gif]

I have been trying to get my subscription started since last June. I also at that time requested two years worth of back issues. The USA Traplet office as far as I am concerned is a Joke! It's not much of a business and you can only contact the girl there between the hours of 9:30 to 12:30 AM CST sometimes! If you leave a message on the recorder it's a 50/50 shot at getting A CALL BACK. I have heard every excuse you can imagine as to why after four months I still have not received a single bi monthly issue of RCJI. I did after three months finally get my 12 issues for the previous two years. I have not had any direct dealings with Traplet in UK but the USA rep has been very quick to blame all the problems on them. I am in the US and have been told I have no choice but to go through the US rep. In todays internet world I do not understand why there needs to be an intermediate when they do nothing but take orders and when things go wrong become inaffective in trying to get resolutions because they are a non stocking part time business! I think the girl at Traplet USA means well but for what ever reason she is very inaffective in resolving problems.

A while back I sent in my check for subscription renewal to the USA office of Traplet. The check was never cashed and I never got any more issues. Guess they don't want any renewals.............

I am very sorry to hear of your problems with Traplet Distribution USA, I would personally like to address the situation and ensure that any order or subscription you may require is dealt with as a matter of urgency, to which end, could you possibly e-mail your name and zip code or name and Traplet customer ID number to [email protected]
Thank you.

Pat

I sent you my personal information via PM.

I have no idea what my subscription number is, as I have yet to receive a single issue since signing up in June of this year. That's over 5 months ago!!

I have talked to and e-mailed your USA agent many times over the last 5 months and all I get is excuses and much criticism of how bad your European operation is run. The problem may not be theirs but they have promised the world and not one time have I received either a phone call or e-mail to follow up on what they said they would do.

I don't have a clue as to what or whom the problem is. All I know is that my credit card was charged months ago and I receive Mail/Freight regularly from, US Post Office, UPS, FedEx, Yellow Freight, and the DHL truck delivers next door regularly. I did receive the 12 back issues after 3 months but have yet to receive a regular subscription issue!

Pat,

It seems Traplet USA is having some issues. On Oct 5 I placed a telephone order for a copy of the 7th Jet World Masters DVD with the USA office. Today I received a copy of Splat! 5, which I have absolutely no interest in. I have waited now some 3 weeks to get my JWM DVD, only to be disappointed. I have emailed this info with my customer and invoice # to you at customer [email protected]. I hope it won't take another three weeks to get this corrected and the 7th JWM DVD in hand.

Pat, for me the issue was solved. My WM 07 DVD was delayed in Customs for two weeks. Finally I got it. Thanks

Best regards
