I've got a G26 and want to install the throttle arm Zenoah supplied. According to their instructions you are suppose to take some needle nose pliers and just pry off the plate, remove the spring and install the arm. Problem is, the plate is kind of thick and certainly doesn't want to be pried off. So what is the best way to go about doing this?
Companies see these gas engines to modelers for us to use in aircraft. Why can't they just install a decent throttle arm at the factory.? Oh well.

I too want to remove the G26 throttle aem and replace it with the brass and nylon arm that comes with the engine. How do I get the steel (original) arm off? I don't want to use a Dremel on it as someone suggested.
Please let me know how you ended up removing the "old" arm.

As TKG said...a Dremel works just fine. The shaft is brass and is pressed over the steel throttle arm. Use a dremel to grind the brass flat to the steel arrm and then pry the arm off...it will be very easy. Any other method only invites trouble!
