I have a Nitro Rustler and the guy at the LHS told me that most people do not stick with the Traxxas Top Fuel after break-in. I have tried Powermaster Fuel (they manufacturer the Traxxas Top Fuel) and my truck seems to run hotter than with the Traxxas fuel.
Which 20% Nitro fuel have you had good results with?
Thanks,
Mike D.

Everyone has thier own opinion about fuel. The best thing for you to do in my opinion is to try several different brands.
In my OPINION the Wildcat Fuels are really good, I also use Morgan fuels.
Try out different stuff and stick with the one you like the best for whatever reasons. Besides oil and Nitro content they are about the same.
Keep in mind that fuel sold for airplane engines sells for about half the price usually and runs just as good.

Anything made by Wildcat is good fuel...HPI,Trinity,Eliminator.
Sig champion and Morgan fuels are also good fuels.

Trinity monster fuel, or Eliminator for me. I am also using Top Fuel but I'm sure the oil content is 20% maybe even 22% since they do not produce hard numbers.

I like the wildcat the most for one reason. they tell you what they put in the fuel.
they list oil content, oil brand, etc etc.
others don't.
that tells me that they are confident enough with there ingredients that they want me to know about it.
besides, my savage seems to run better with wildcat then the blue thunder.

Anybody ever try" Power Master Sport blend " 16.00 dollars a gallon its synthetic /castor blend 18 % libricant 20 nitro I was wandering is 18% lubricant enough , I could by 2 gallons for the price of 1 gallon of "odonnell racing fuel". I used Power Master in airplanes worked great , Probably the best fuel for planes.

it dosent matter really what brand of fuel you get it is the % and the cooling head you have. the lower % of nitro the cooler your engine will be but wont perform as good. the higher percent of nitro the hotter it gets and the better it performs. dose this answer your question why it get so hot? it you want more information aobut yourf nitro ruslter go to www.traxxas.com

Im not a fan of blue thunder or platinum.... the platinum only has 8% and the BT only has 10 % oil. I believe the Odonnell has 14% oil and is made by a company called Problend. Great fuel!!!!

Morgan fuels is a GREAT company!
I just buy morgan Airplane fuel and mod it with KLOTZ castor/synthetic oil.
its only $16 a gallon!
And for everyone in atlanta, the SUGARBOWL HAS THE CHEAPEST FUEL! the 30% BT is like 24. Elsewhere its 27/29.
18% is very good. Right now I'm running about 25% nitro and 15% oil.
From what I gather, Castor is really the king of lubrication, but people are using synthetic because
1) Its CHEAPER 2) Its isnt "dirty" like castor 3) Another point of HYPE. Just like motor oils!

LOL..... sounds like a good home brew.
Im running the 25% Omega in my Buggy and Savage, as my LHS no longer has the Sig Champion I used to run. Still a great fuel for 17.99 a gallon. It even seems to run cooler than the Sig did.
Take care

I'm running Byron Race 20% with Nitro Blast additive, my motor runs about 20 to 30 degrees cooler than it did without the Nitro Blast.

Remember that Blue thunder is only 10% oil!!
BT is specially formulated with .21s in mind. I wouldnt run them in .12s.
Remember that the surface area of the sidewalls of a .21 isnt much bigger than a .12 but the volume IS! (theyre not linear).
more volume= more fuel mixture= more oil.
So with a .12, your effective "oiling rate", if you will, with BT is actually a bit lower than with a .21.
So for a .12, BT is a little too dry!!
