Hey everybody I'm seeing more and more Slayers being converted to electric, so I want to know what makes the Slayer better then just buying a Slash. I know the Slayer is 4wd and has the Revo style suspension but does it handle any better or get better performance or what?

if you convert it to electric you'll be dropping in a big 1/8th scale brushless, which is much faster than the slash. It does handle better, hence the 4WD.
But it costs much more than the slash.

From owning both trucks I can say the 4wd Slayer does jump better than my Slash. Also the way the suspension is setup on the Slayer is IMO far superior to the suspension design of the Slash. The Slayer soaks up the bumps and landings better. Another thing I've learned about the Slayer's handling is they are worthless without sway bars.
But I can say the Slayer is one heavy ***** truck and needs a 1/8 scale brushless setup to move all that weight. I left my Slayer nitro because that's the way the truck was meant to be but each to their own.
I can say though that my Brushless Slash is every bit as fast as the Nitro Powered Slayer.

Well as far as speed the vxl will push the slash just as fast right? I know it's alot more money that's why my interest is peaked, are you getting enough benefit to justify the conversion on top of paying more upfront?

Well one benefit you'd get from a E Slayer is you would actually get to see it do some insane power wheelies unlike you would if it was nitro, unless you put a nice $300 nitro mill in it.
You could look on ebay for just a Roller Slayer without a motor or fuel tank and all that stuff. That would be cheaper.

I've seen the Slash wheelie for days with brushless either way they look awesome. Kinda reminds me of the 800 and 900hp muscle cars that people drag race in.
