Default Grease or Lube?

What should be used for a for a metal shaft that rides in a metal bushing? I think a thin grease, but I would like to double check. What is normally used for the best protection?

Whatever you do, remember that grease if it isnt 100% dry will attract dirt. And dirt =excessive wear. So you might want to get a dry lubricant for driveshafts, cvd's/dogbones, and the metal shaft or whatever you are talking about.

I myself am not exactly clear on which lubricants are used best for certain parts. It's kind of confusing, since for example Tamiya supplies ceramic grease, and some other grease with a complicated spelling that i'm not gonna attempt but starts with an M, then there's lithium grease that i use for my spur/pinion gears. Towers website states almost the same description about all of the above mentioned. There is also AW (anti wear grease) made by Tamiya which i think is what you should be using for your shafts/metal bearings, if you have some. It definitley attracts dirt that's for sure.
