Hey guys, I have posted on other threads getting people's opinion on my build. I just recently decided to build electric instead of gas, however I just discovered that the run time for electrics is much shorter than 1 tank of gas. This will make or break my build because if I'm going to get 5 or 10 minute run times I might as well go and build a gas cat.

My setup will probably be something like this:
C5000 hull by MHZ (72 Inchs)
2 leaner 3060 or 3080 motors
Unsure on the prop
2 Hydra ice 240 esc's
and the most important the batteries my plan is to buy 4 lipos each 6s 10,000 Mah and wire them in series to make 2 banks of 12s 10,000 Mah batteries. (one for each motor.)

How long of a run time would you think I would get running at about 60-80 percent throttle most of the time. It would be nice if someone could give me a very rough idea, like am I looking at 5 minutes or 50 minutes.

Hi Mike....figure about 5 minutes to be safe on the LiPos....also , it will depend a lot on what windings the motors are. I've got a 3080 12T in my Rio 51 and its good for about 4:30.
