Default Brushless Elam

Hey there guy's
I've just got a brushless 1:12 Elam & was wondering whats a better esc or motor?
Its all stock at the moment running 2s 5300 batteries & a brass 40mm prop. It goes okay, about 40mph but was looking to push it a little more.
Is a new 120 plus esc going to make the boat faster?
If so which is the best one to buy?
Cheers

No, the ESC only provides the motor with the power that the motor demands.

A new motor that draws more power will require a new 120A ESC. What are your goals. If you have 40mph currently what do you realistically expect?

I'd like to push it into the 50's with out a problem.
I have a nitro version that leaves this one for dust & want to be able to catch it
