Hi,
I have got a 35inch WRM cat hull (42 inch to the rudder)with a Turnigy 180 marine ESC and a KB45-08XL 1600kv Brushless Inrunner motor, 6s 5800 mah battery and a 1/4 inch shaft
Could you tell me what prop would suit this set up? also being new to electric boats does this set up sound alright?
Thanks

The motor has two issues - it is kinda poor quality and its Kv is a bit high for 6S. But if you have to use it, then an x447 to x448 would be a place to start. Smaller would be even better but I'm not certain a smaller prop would move the large hull well. Are you running 1P or 2P on the packs? If 1P, then be careful and don't run for too long at a time. Bring it in regularly especially at first to check for high temps. Recharge the packs when you bring it in since running 1P will drop the voltage pretty low.
