I just posted a question myself and start reading others. Depending on the amps and can size of the motor. Amps should be less than esc and can size to fit in boat.

Going at it all wrong. Now get a 2500 motor and run 3S which gives you 27,000 rpm with a 432 metal prop with watercooling and a 60 amper esc, watercooled. This way motor, esc run cooler. small kv and higher voltage. I'd beefup the boat especially where m/mount is by laying 1/32" plywood the size of 6" x 6" as upgrading motor will have more torque . I'd use 1 3S lipo and place it in front of motor and have CG at 30%.

I had a few problems with my barbwire, probably some thing i did wrong or didnt know of at the time and I can almost garentee that atomik/venom will replace your esc for you if it hasnt been 30 days yet.
they have great customer service,

Paul785- not for me as I like more elbow room to run my boats.... I'd sooner run where river is 50 feet wide where I can run WOT in turns. LOL!

Mike.
In general, I'm with you on that. But you've got to admit, those guys are having a ball.

Paul785- I have one of those hopped up jets from Steve Dale from down under. I put a 4400 with a modified jet with 2- 1350maH 40c lipos in parallel in saddle pack setup. Haven't run it as winter is almost over. Have a good day. No need to reply.BTW I see HKing has 2 new boats-1 is a mono and one is a BJ copy! Look nice with a 2815kv on 3S on both.
