Default 32 inch tunnel

i have a 32 inch tunnel hull with the stileto outdrive an 1800 kv motor on 5s with a x442 prop 120 amp esc and my motor burnt up today what would be a more suitable motor.

I beleave I need an 1800 kv or a 1700 kv with the last motor I had in it I had it doing 52 mph on 5s

442 prop way to big try a 438 or smaller larger the propthe more the load on the motor make shurt the esc is programed right

So if I get a x438 prop what kv motor or what would be a good motor to get about 50 mph

a 2500 kva motor with 3 cell lipo and a 438 prop eill give you your 52 mph i use 5000 mili amp 40c lipo batteries only make shure your esc is programed for the motor

1600-1800kv is not a bad choice for 5s LiPo. The motor just needs to be larger in physical size to handle the excess waste heat you are producing with that prop load. Look at a 39mm x 74mm can size.

leopard 4074 is that what i need that is what i can find in my price range and i will need to cut a hole in my out drive top for that to work but that is ok
