Default Need some sizing advice

As I noted before i am going to swap Nitros out of a ProBoat Shockwave 36 and run electric - I think I have made decsions and want to get the advice of those who already are doing this:
Motors: Inrunner Brushless motor BL2856KV2300 for th + Water-Cooled brushless ESC 150 amp $116 each

Transmitters -- I still had crystals
FLYSKY RC 3 CH Transmitter TX GT2B For CAR Boat 2.4Ghz 2.4g w/ Receiver, battery $30 each

Batteries-- this is the most confusing to me big small - will I see a difference?
BEAST DNA 2600MAH 2S 30C MAX 60C 7.4V LIPO PACK NANO TECH BATTERY FOR Boat Car - these are $20 each
[h=1]6000MAH 2S 30C MAX 60C 7.4V FOR Boat Car LIPO PACK BATTERY BEAST DNA NANO TECH these are $85 each!

motor mounts:[/h]RC R/c Boat Ship Metal Alloy Aluminum CNC 16 x 10mm Motor / Engine Mount

not sure why the text changed, but any advice would be appriciated

Go with as high mah lipos as you can afford, this will give you much longer runtimes for one. Also go with the gt3c radio its a much nicer better radio.Ive had good results with zippy lipos, theyre reasonably priced.Or try hobbyking for your nano techs theyre cheap also. Not familiar with your motor but id be looking to use a 40 mm motor minimum, something like a 4082,4084 sss ,leaopard or tp motor.Id also be going with more than 2 s and a little less kv for a 36" hull.

not to sound like a total novice but I am what is the significance of the 40 millimeter and what is the significance of the lower Kv Value....in my ignorance I'm simply thinking that the biggest motor I can get with the biggest KV is what I need for a 36 inch boat is this entirely true

Usually you want your prop to be spinning arround 30-35 k rpm so with more cells youd need to come down on the kv.I suggested a 40 mm diam motor minimum for that size hull.Higher kv doesnt mean more power.
Heres a handy calculator to help you work out what you need to get you in the ballpark.

Alrighty - I made a choice - so now everyone will say it was the wrong one in some way! This is going in a 36" ProBoat shockwave - Nitro conversion project - we have two- so this was a $500+ project!

Turnigy 3974 2200kw water cooled motor
Turnigy 180a water cooled ESC
Turnigy 5.0 (5000 Mah) 2cell 40c Lipo batteries - plan to run 2 at a time - unless the grandkids are here, then thought 1 will make it slow?

Thoughts?

Motor should be fine as will esc.
Using the boat calc your looking at arround 39 mph spinning 27 k loaded rpm with a 40 mm prop which is in the ballpark.Depending on props it may be more or less so id experiment with dif props.I like the cnc sharpened balanced alloy props theyre good to go out of the packet.
