flex shaft problem

Default flex shaft problem

Have a flex shaft that never seen water and this is my problem , any ideas how to fix it ?

Im asuming the shaft has a hole for the flex,hard to see in the pic but no need to use solder,get some loctite retaining compound 603,clean both parts well and glue the parts together.Weve been using this method for years over in Europe,works well.Ive used this on my gas boats when using a shaft like yours,never let me down.

Is there any thing cheaper then the loctite retaining compound 603 ? that stuff is on the pricey side , for a $12. shaft . I was just hoping for a cheap fix .

problem solved , this was a new flex and it came apart , Got a hold of seller and they're going to send me new one at no cost to me . Thanks all for your suggestions , I'm trying to find some one locally to fix the other one .

Personally id change the driveline for an all in one type flexishaft but glad you got it sorted.
