Ok since i didnt have another speed 700, i installed an Trinity D5 flatliner 10/2x with a octura y534 off my Miss Bud, removed the trim tabs and moved the motor mounts closer to the transom and shortened the shaft, and ran it on 6 cells, man did it fly but i hit a buy and the fun was over. I will try with 8 cells, but since this motor is a loaner you guy think it'll be wise to run a 600? what's the max cell I can use ? thanks in advance

If you want the motor to last, don't run over 7 cells on that 540 motor....and you better water cool it....can and brush cooling. It will run like a bat out of hell on 8 cells, but don't expect that 10 X 2 to last more than a couple of runs before it self destructs.
The more you stop and go, the more heat will build up. While you're running bring the boat in and check for heat often.
