Well I didn't even run it with the stock stuff. Took it right out before I even took it to the water. Didn't want to waste time. I put a Epic 9 turn single with a M Troniks water proof 8 turn limit with reverse ESC and a 7 cell 3300 battery pack. At the lake I was Kinda dissapointed. It seemed slow. I know it is slow cause my stock zig zag is faster, well the zig zag does have a 7 cell also.
Any way I believe that it is a prop size problem. When I first got the boat, the owner of the local hobby shop who used to race electric boats was supprised in a good way at the pitch of the prop. He said usually a RTR didn't come with a race prop. But I am thinking that I need a different prop with this set up. I do not know the pitch as Horizon is not very helpful. Can anyone help me figure out what size prop I need. Oh forgot to mention, the motor is not getting hot, but the esc is. it is cutting out on the temp limit. I have a barracuda esc cooling unit coming from off shore electrics. That should take care of the heat problem, but what about the prop???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
