Default Blast vs. Wave Shark

Im into electric trucks now and want a good electric boat. i have a zig zag racer and dont like it too much. I just want more speed. I was thinking the Traxxas blast or the cen wave shark. which one is faster out of the box? which one is more durable? and which one would u recommend? im not going to race which one would be cheaper to upgrade to like a 17 or 15 turn motor I dont want to spend too much more than 200 on the boat itself
thanks
John

I would go for the wave shark with the right number of cells 775 version can run up to 30 mph and if you don't like the hatch cover Offshore electrics has a race hatch cover.

If you are talking number of cells start small and get bigger you'll have to break every thing in and I don't like to cook my stuff a full power right out of the box plus it is too easy to just order a new pack or two. I would start with two 6 or 7 cell packs just to get used to it and wire them in series.

Not exactly you just add up the voltage on all the packs that is your final voltage so you don't have to have an equal number of cells in each pack if you put them in parallel then you do.

I have seen them but never used one I just have to plug my charger in the wall or on my dock. I don't need a field charger.

Thanks but i made my decision in july[8D] GOT THE WAVE SHARK. I run the wave shark alongside our real boat while its at plane 22mph! There is no way that a stock blast would do that. I am happy I got the wave shark and never think twice. CEN makes fast products traxxas makes durable stuff.
