Default Plettenburg Question

Are the brushes from the 290/20/3t and the 290/20/4t the same? And most importantly, where can I find them?

Thanks,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

The brushes you want have the article number 305100 and they measure 4 x 6 mm.
These are used in the HP 270 - HP 290 motors.

I know guys who run the softer(?), silver toned brushes from Graupner, I'll see if I can get a partnr. on those for you.

Otherwise mail to: [email protected] to get an address for a US distributor.
www.Plettenberg-Motoren.com

In fact, any pair of brushes that isn't substantually harder than the original, and can be made to fit, will do.

Regards, Jan.

Jan, you're the man! You're the only person who's had a response yet. I checked out the site http://www.plettenberg-motoren.com/ and unfortunately I can't read German! I even found a page in US : http://www.plettenberg-motoren.com/uns_e.htm but that doesn't lead me to a place where I can order them.

I compared some of Trinity's brushes with them, and the Trinity P-94's are the same width but lot as long as the Plett's.

So you say Graupner has a brush that will fit it? Any idea where I can get them? Well really, those or the Pletts!

I'll email [email protected] and see if they can help as well.

Thanks a lot!

Bryan

Found the Graupner brushes;

Go to: Ultra Motors / Spare parts.

http://www.shop.graupner.de/webapp/c...&show_cat=5643

These are replacement brushes for the Ultra- motors (made by Plettenberg) partnr. 6360.

There's also the tuning brushes 6360.1 which I believe are the silvery ones, they wear quicker and the dust is conductive (duh!) and should not be able to get into your receiver or ESC.

Good luck on your search!

Regards, Jan.

Additional info:

I looked at the Plettenberg site and it's indeed only in German.

Chrash course:

Spare parts = Ersatzteile
Brushes = Kohlen ( 305100 at 7,41 Euro's /pair)

If all fails, they also have a button: Online Bestellung (online ordering), pm me if you need help filling it out.

Or, if that's too much of a hassle, my holiday is in a few weeks, I could drop by at Plettenberg in Kassel (Baunatal), get a pair for you and drop them in the mail, I need a spare set myself.

Regards, Jan.

Thanks Jan, I appreciate it! I'm checking with Steven V. to see if he can order the Graupner brushes, as I have a few other things I'd like to pick up from him as well. I'll let you know if he can get them.

Well Jan, I talked to Steven and he can get them in 4-5 weeks. When are you going over there?

I don't know if it will help everyone, but I was able to peruse the Plettenburg site using Altavista's bablefish translator. They've got some good stuff in there. Now which Misquito motor would work in my Gecko???

Hi Bryan,

Most likely I'd be in the neighborhood around week 28 or 29, that's not a whole lot earlier, sorry.

Regards, Jan.

Hi Travis,

I'd say a Mosquito 4 or 6, but you can always ask Plettenberg (in english) what they'd advice and MHZ aswell.
That's going to be a fast, but pricy, Gecko...

Regards, Jan
