Default Engine compare + what hull & batteries

I want to scratch-build a fun boat using a RS550 HS or a Johnson same size @14.4v engines out of cordless drills. The Johnson revs faster and has as much torque as far as finger tests suggest.
I want to use 12 cells 3800 sub C's, 3/16th flex shaft in a 22" balsa/ply shallow "V" mono with a 2 blade prop, submerged.
What hull design, shat size prop, etc.
Any suggestions.

Regards Brettos.
