Default Drive Unit

I just bought an Electro-V hull from Hobby Lobby and would like to find a drive unit for it without buying a drive/motor combo which is apparently the only way Hobby Lobby sells them. Would anyone have a recommendation for a drive unit for this hull? Something d/d perhaps? I built one of these in the late eighties and found that it would track and run pretty well with just a 500 Speed can motor but I would like to try something a little hotter this time.
Thanks in advance for your input.

A 700 motor with a octura offset rudder and strut.
This boat is a very good performers with a 700 motor. Stay away from the recommended grapner setup.

Thanks Steven, how about the Speedmaster set up? Is it sized right for this hull. Sure is sexy looking. What else in the drive train would be needed if the Speedmaster is ok? Flex hex, cable, drive dog, prop shaft?

Speedmaster is a good size for that boat.
The 700 would need a 700 mount. A 5mm to .130 hex flex coupler.
On 12 cells I would recommend a 42 and 45mm 3/16 carbon prop to test with.
For odds and ends you will need some Velcro to hold your batteries down.
A steering rod.
