I was wondering if anyone knew anything about how to take apart the outboard on the Profisherman Bass Boat to lubricate the gears, bearings, and shafts. The manual recommends to do this occasionally but does not provide any further detail on how to take it apart. If this is extremely difficult to do I'd rather just leave it.

I have taken mine completely apart a couple times but have found that it's alot easier and just as effective if you just pull the prop shaft out. if you look at the back of the lower unit along the prop shaft, the first black plastice peice you see is screwed on to the back of the shaft housing (bullet shaped part of the lower unit), this peice is squared off on 2 sides. Take the largest wrench that came with the motor(not sure what size), and turn that peice ccw, the entire prop shaft will come out with it. Use the thinest greese you can find, and aply generouly to the shaft and bevel gear. Put it all back together and you're done. The motor may now turn up as much as it usually does right away, give it a second and the grease will heat up and disperse throughout the entire drive line then it'll be fine.

Thanks, I didn't realize it was that simple. I suppose it's not as critical to lubricate the upper shaft and bearings as it is the prop shaft and bevel gears as water can get into the gear case.

BTW, do you still have it on the bass boat? Did you do any mods to it? How's it running now? I put mine back on the bass boat and put a Graupner 600 race with a proboat ESC and a x632 on 8 cells. It's pretty fast now.

Yes I still have it on the bass boat. So far everything is still stock. The only thing I've done is trim the motor in slightly as the front end was bouncing around too much the way it was set up out of the box. With the additional weight of a 7 cell battery pack in the front the trim is about just right. It rides on the back part of the hull but without porpoising.
One other question concerning taking the motor apart. I assume the vertical shaft and bearings can simply be lifted out after removing the electric motor of course. Correct? Is there any difficulty or awkwardness in putting them back in?

An Additional coupler came with the bass boat. It is also probably available on the Tower Hobbies web site if you look at the parts listing for the bass boat.
The motor alone costs about $70.
