Default Jet Stream 800 Beginner Upgrades

I have a JS 800 and would like to squeeze some more speed out of it. I have an Astro-Flight ESC, 7 cells, with a X442 octura and threw on an X-Star (from another boat project) but I knew it isn't made for the JS. I have a water-cooling set-up, too. I also moved the battery from the stock location to ensure a CG of 30%. So here's where I can use some assistance:

1.) Motor upgrade - either stock or modified - suggestions?

1a) I'd like to utilize the dual-motor gearbox, not sure if the ESC can handle it though. if so, does that change the motor suggestions?

2.) Battery Upgrades?

I've always had a problem with the outdrive, quite a bit of vibration during turning (thread lock is my friend) I understand if the U-joint isnt lined up with the hinge on the outdrive that can throw things off, any rule of thumb?

Anything is helpful - I'm basically looking for a great motor that can handle a little bit heavier boat, with a semi-sub-surface prop, gear reduction.

Thanks,

Inde
