First of all the Villain 7.2 is not new, The Villain EX 14.4 is new. The paint schemes look pretty cool.

Thanks for the reply tsherm31,

Being that i am a kid without a job i can't really afford the 14.4 villian ex Because it needs two batteries. So i figured that i could get 4 7 cell 3300mah packs and the 7.2 boat for less than $350. with the 7.2 if i have 4 packs means more run time than the villian ex right? or does the ex have like 20 min run time with 2 and the 7.2 have a 10 min run time with 1 How does that work?

Even if you have nice batteries it only takes one at a time, and unfortunatly so can your motor temps. You will have to wait inbetween runs for the ESC and motors to cool down. You should buy a used 14.4v for like 150-200$$ and then get some nice batteries and a few water cooling jackets for the motors!

ya i got a couple of them ther not digital and no scaner but ya

umm the boat i said was a custom boat and my father really liked the formula paint scheme it looks just like it but it is a little diffrent because of the hull and styling of the boat
and the engins are 2 , 959 hp tourbocharged with 5 bladed counter rotating prop on them it is hitting around about 130 to 150 mph but its SOOOOO fun in choppy water

Ya im gunna try to get some new motors and maybe an esc but i really want a nice paint job so it doesn't look like every other villain out there. So i found some more boats that i really like the paint on here they are. An the boat with the red checkers i would change the green stripe to either black or silver. Any input on which you like best would be great.

Thanks,
Matt

wow cr85nut that boats hull looks to be the exact same shape as a Traxxas blast or villain. Pretty wierd. I like the 3rd design the best btw. How are you applying it?

4tecdude, ya thats what i noticed too, and im still not sure wether or not im gunna have it made from custom decals or send it to my friends auto-body shop and have it painted. All depends on price and what scheme i pick.

eyekandy19, thats pretty sweet im not really interested in that kind of scheme i like the checkers and the curves. Not to fond of the lighting style. Did you paint hat yourself? It looks nice just not really my stlye.

You really should have bought the Villain EX. It is much faster, due to the 550 motors versus the 540's and the EVX Marine is a much beefier ESC than the XL-10 (I think that's what it is) and having 4 7-cell packs to run, you would have much more speed in the EX, and with the cooling time between runs, you might be able to run those packs back to back with little down time.

MaximuM*AltitudE, Thanks for the opinion, but im not really worried about speed and if i really want to i can upgrade it. I just really like the fact that its only 1 battery. Im not gunna be racing or anything just having a little fun in the waves of the back of my big boat. Any thoughts on the paint?

cr85nut: from your FIRST post, i like the 3rd choice, seems unique among the RC boats around

Thanks for all the replies guys,

Does anyone know if i could run twin Graupner 480BB Race 7.2 or twin Graupner 600bb SP 7.2 in my villain if i changed the esc and added another battery pack?

Would i see much of a speed increase?

Thanks,
Matt
