Default Gps speed reading

I have a Megellin gold i'd like to use in my boats and maybe even my R/C aircraft.Is there anyway to have it hold the highest speed it read?Also I've downloaded easy gps software to my computer,can i download and review the events i subjected it to say for that particular outing?Thanks I'm pretty iliterate for the time being about GPS..[]

I have alwasy been lead to believe that its almost the same for every GPS, I have a garmin etrex, once on the speed screen, then I can scroll through like average speed, max speed, and so on, then on the max speed onem I have the option to reset it, It should hold max automaticlly, then one on that max screen you can reset it...

Same with my Garmin geko. These GPS receivers are great!
