Default More Speed for the TwinStorm

Hello,

i am from Germany. I bought a TwinStorm some weeks before. All told me this Boat is one of the best. Its nice, but to slow for me.

I already read the tread "TwinStorm Owners" , but i am very confused now.. becuase my english isnt the best..

can anybody make a list of the best parts for more speed? the acceleration is ok, could be less too.. the speed is important..

in the other thread i read something about Titan 23T engines.. which rpm and torque this engines has ?? also the stock engines.. i cant find the details for this engines.. the stock has 19T , why going up.. i thought this loose rpms ?? or could i get more speed only over a other prop and more torque ??

can i use brushless enginges with the stock electronic? or should i change it??

thanks for all !

i can answer two of those questions: yes you can use brushless motors, and no you cant use stock electronics if you use brushless motors.

well i think most peple are saying tot get the titans because they are very good reliable engines. If you fry one of those you have got to be doing something really wrong. Putting on engines with more torque might alow you to put a bigger prop. This might give a speed difference(not sure on that). Brushless would work but useing one engine will put more weight on one side of the boat causing it to lean. And deffinately do not use the stock electronics with a brushless. Well thats my opinion. Hope this helps.

the two down-geared 550's at 14,4v who is water cooled - would be able to spin much larger prop than the orginal one.
what about octura 442 or 445?

I think the easiest speed increase would be to use the stock set-up and increase the number of battery cells.

thanks for the answers.. i dont look for the easiest way .. should be a bit more work.. but nothing like switching electronic (because of money) and swift to one-engine or other engine mountings..

i bought this boat, because they said this has a controller for 50A .. so i think thats enough..

but one question:
the stock eninges run at 7,2V each or 14,4V ? i cant test it at the moment.. i thought about 7,2V for each in row.. so it goes to 14,4v together.. is it right??

the most hassle-free speed increase is to put a pair of 7 cell packs in it. The ESC is rated to handle this.

The easy way is also the cheapest way, anyways the motors run on 14.4, they are 27 turn motors.
